Birch Hill
Named for the beautiful white deciduous trees indigenous to Vermont, the Birch Hill neighborhood has become a popular location for both vacation homeowners and full time residents of Stowe. It is convenient to the shops and restaurants along the Mountain Road and situated between the village of Stowe and the Stowe Mountain Resort, making it a great location for taking in all that the area has to offer.
Many of the homes on Birch Hill Road and the adjoining roads feature spectacular views of Vermont’s highest peak, Mt. Mansfield and the smaller mountain, Spruce Peak, both of which make up the legendary Stowe Mountain Resort ski area. Birch Hill is also a great place to watch the launches from the annual StoweFlake Hot Air Balloon Festival, which has been a tradition following 4th of July weekend in Stowe for over thirty years.
Birch Hill is near many of Stowe’s most popular destinations. Our clients tell us they enjoy being able to walk to the Stowe Recreation Path for a stroll with their dogs, to the Stowe Bee Bakery or Harvest Market for a cup of coffee and freshly baked pastries or bread or to pick up the free Green Mountain Transit Shuttle to the Stowe Mountain Resort. Furthermore, fans of mountain biking, snow shoeing and hiking who will appreciate it’s proximity to the Cady Hill trails.
Birch Hill Road is just twelve miles from the ski area and slightly over a mile from the center of the Village of Stowe. Winterbird Road and High Ridge Road branch off of Birch Hill, with East and West Ridge Roads branching off of High Ridge and Winterbird Ridge Road branching off of Winterbird. Consequently, these adjoining streets offer privacy, peace and quiet for those seeking a peaceful retreat in a very convenient location.
